As a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager, Ms. Dougherty has more than thirty years of experience with proposals, planning, design, construction document preparation as well as inspections, for existing in addition to new buildings and bridges.
Her experience includes designing and developing construction as-built plans and specifications for high-end commercial and residential structures. Some of her projects included 3-D analysis for seismic and wind loads. She provided engineering field support for product quality and performance issues throughout New England and New York for engineered wood manufacturer sales representatives. She conducted AIA approved, contract hour seminars for tall walls and prescriptive application of shear brace training using ASCE 7, IRC and IBC.
She also has composed numerous feasibility studies inspection reports, project schedules and fee proposals for private companies as well as state and local agencies. Her experience includes conferring with contractors, utility companies and government agencies to discuss plans, specifications and work schedules.
