DTC recently completed work on Dunkin Donuts Stadium for the Hartford Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies in Hartford, CT. The Yard Goats’ season opener and first game on the field is April 13 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7:05 p.m.
DTC provided plumbing, fire protection and civil engineering for the $60 million, 6,000-seat stadium including kitchens and concessions, ultra-low flow fixtures and waterless urinals, rebate qualifying high-efficiency water heaters, stadium bowl drainage, and fire protection and sprinkler systems for both heated and unheated seasonal areas.
“We are fortunate to be able work on so many exciting stadium and athletic facilities,” DTC CEO Shay Atluru said. “Seeing athletes and amateurs of every level playing in world-class facilities is gratifying.”
DTC designed the stadium in Revit®, the building information modeling software for architects and engineers, allowing the firm to model the building and its components in 3D and access building information from the building model’s database.
