Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM)

DTC completed major renovations and swing-space office fit-ups for the U.S. Army's Tank-automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, MI, under a $25 million on-call design/build contract with the Army Corps of Engineers.
DTC phased the total demolition and reconstruction of interior spaces on multiple floors in the 200,000 s.f. facility to allow for continuous operation. With approximately 300 personnel stationed on each floor, DTC's swing-space phases typically included relocating about 150 people. With relocation costs of nearly $2000/day, DTC completed each floor under a fort-tracked design-build schedule.
