Lake Success Golf Course Drainage Study
Lake Success, NY
The Village of Lake Success retained DTC to analyze the drainage problems for the 115-acre Village Golf Course. The course experiences severe flooding resulting in extensive closures and deterioration of the fairways.
The antiquated drainage system and the heavy clay soils throughout the site were determined by DTC to be the cause of poor drainage. Examining various alternatives, DTC's team of landscape architects and engineers recommended installation of primary drainage lines and detention areas to accommodate a 100-year storm event. With the approval of the Village, DTC is proceeding to develop construction documents for the implementation of the improvements to the Golf Course.
