Project Overview

DTC was awarded a $14 million contract for the Design and Construction of a new 52,000 sq. ft. U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC), located at Arkadelphia, Arkansas. DTC provided all engineering, construction management, general contracting, supervision, quality control and safety services. Primary facilities included a single story Armed Forces Reserve Center, Unheated Storage/Maintenance Training Bay (UHS/ MTB), Washrack, and organizational parking. Supporting facilities included land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve the project. Force protection (AT) measures was incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards were used to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintained. Access for individuals with disabilities was provided. Project attained LEED® Silver.
