DTC Founder Appointed to Community & Technical College Board of Trustees
North
Haven, CT – October 15, 2000 - DTC's
link to education is demonstrated not only in its increasing pedigree of
educational facility clients but in its staff as well.
The
Connecticut State General Assembly recently confirmed the appointment of Dr.
Murali Atluru, P.E., DTC's President and founder, to the Board of Trustees for
the twelve community colleges and technical college system of the State of
Connecticut. He was Governor John G. Rowland's nominee to the Board.
Since
1979, DTC's staff has participated in numerous civic and social volunteerism
programs from mentoring, internships and the Wallingford School System's
School to Career Program.
While
Dr. Atluru and the rest of the Board of Trustees strive to set policies to
ensure quality education state-wide, DTC's staff as well as those at its
Fairfield Associates and Abbellire divisions will continue to volunteer
countless personal hours to contribute to the same mission at the local level.
Founded
in 1979 in North Haven, Connecticut, DTC provides consulting engineering
services for government and business in the fields of civil, mechanical,
electrical and structural engineering, environmental sciences, landscape
architecture, landscape architecture, planning and land surveying. The firm's
Federal & Construction Group provides Design/Build and Construction
Management services to military and federal agencies. A recipient of numerous
State and New England Regional design excellence awards, DTC employees over
120 professionals and provides services in 24 states and Puerto Rico.
