Fort Trumbull Infrastructure Improvements

DTC was selected by the New London Development Corporation to provide final construction documents and construction oversight services for $15 million of infrastructure improvements required to implement the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) in the Fort Trumbull area of New London. The Fort Trumbull MDP is a redevelopment plan for 90 acres that is intended to complement Pfizer Inc.'s $270 million Global Development Facility, which was built on Pequot Avenue and the Fort Trumbull State Park. The project was separated into two phases - Gateway and the Fort Area - to facilitate the Pfizer project and the acquisition of properties in the Fort Trumbull area.
Road improvements throughout the MDP include granite curbs, concrete sidewalks, street trees, period street lighting, brick-paver cross walks and all overhead utilities to be relocated underground and existing deficient utilities to be improved or replaced to allow for the full development of the area as planned.
