The Straw Pond development is an age restricted, planned community on a wooded lot overlooking Straw Pond. DTC was chosen by Perkins Eastman Architects to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural engineering services for this four-phase community, which will feature a clubhouse, 210 condominium units, and 130 townhouses. The development will also have site amenities including tennis and bocce ball courts, as well as a nature trail. The clubhouse will feature a library, lounge, and multipurpose room, along with a sales office to be converted to a conference room.
The lower level will include a juice bar, fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub, locker rooms, and a twenty-five-person theater. The condominium units will be in three-story buildings that will feature community rooms. The condominium unit sizes will range from 750 SF to 1,200 SF. All mid-rise buildings will provide underground parking. All units will feature central air, carpeting, full range of appliances, and balcony. The townhouses will be built in pods of three and four, and feature units ranging from 1400 SF to 2200 SF. All townhouses will have a garage, second level loft; and feature the master suite on the main level.
