DTC was chosen to provide engineering services for the new Bridgeport Courthouse and Juvenile Detention Center. The project involved the demolition of the existing building on the site and the construction of a new courthouse and juvenile center and parking lot.The site was remediated and storm water runoff reduced. A “river walk” and “pocket park” was also be created on the site to provide public access to the Pequonnock River. DTC provided site/civil engineering, landscape architecture and environmental services to JCJ and the design build team. Site includes approximately 125 parking spaces, a public access waterfront park, environmental site remediation, and complex Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and local land use permitting.
