Among the numerous assignments as a combined contract for the Connecticut Department of Public Works and the Connecticut National Guard for Camp Rell, DTC was responsible for providing field survey, site design, and mechanical and electrical engineering services in support of the planning, design and construction administration of a 13,500 SF, 52-unit Quarters.
A large pumping station and trunk sewer was planned, designed and constructed and DTC. In addition, DTC was selected to design the connection of the entire Camp Rell training facility to the East Lyme municipal sewer system




Projects


DTC, under an indefinite delivery task order contract with the State Quartermaster's Office, Military Division of the MA Army National Guard, is preparing a state-wide Master Plan to update programming to meet long-term operational readiness requirements for Guard facilities and units. This work includes the assessment, categorization, and evaluation of existing Guard infrastructure at over 90 facilities throughout Massachusetts ranging from armories, readiness centers, airfields, training facilities/ranges, materials storage depots, warehouses, vehicle/aircraft maintenance shops and associated properties.
Union Street Bridge, originally built in 1926, carries Union Street (Route 135) over the Sudbury River. This two-lane minor urban arterial is structurally deficient with specific problems exhibited in the scouring of both abutments. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing bridge. DTC has begun the design of this bridge as the second of three bridges that are within a contract with the State of Massachusetts.
DTC has been retained to provide civil and structural engineering design and landscape architectural design services for the construction the New UCONN School of Biology/Pharmacy. The project is a design/build assignment with Davis Brody Bond, LLP of New York.
DTC provided design of mechanical, structural, civil and site work and obtained all necessary permits in accordance with all municipal, state and federal regulations. Work elements included parking areas and site circulation, outdoor athletic facilities, storm drainage system, design of all HVAC and Fire Protection systems and structural systems including the foundation, special inspection services & structural steel framing.
