DTC was chosen to provide engineering services for the new Bridgeport Courthouse and Juvenile Detention Center. The project will involve the demolition of the existing building on the site and the construction of a new courthouse and juvenile center and parking lot.The site will be remediated and storm water runoff will be reduced. A “river walk” and “pocket park” will also be created on the site that will provide public access to the Pequonnock River. DTC is providing site/civil engineering, landscape architecture and environmental services to JCJ and the design build team. Site includes approximately 125 parking spaces, a public access waterfront park, environmental site remediation, and complex Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection land use permitting.




Projects


DTC was retained by the Tarkinow Group of Newton, MA to provide permitting, planning, design and advocacy services for a 68,000 s.f. "big box" wholesale development in Hyannis, MA.
DTC, in conjunction with JCJ Architecture, is performing complete engineering services for the construction of a new Pre-K through eighth grade elementary school. Services include: environmental site investigation, analysis and remediation planning, site layout and vehicular circulation; landscaping and site lighting; extension and/or relocation of site utilities such as: water distribution, sanitary sewer system, storm sewer system and electric /communication/ cable television/ gas; permitting; structural design and HVAC and fire protection design.
The City of Waterbury, CT and the Naugatuck Valley Development Corporation (NVDC) selected DTC to create a redevelopment plan for the revitalization of their downtown retail district. In particular a design was developed for Bank Street, an urban corridor consisting primarily of retail establishments, to help improve the image and viability of the district.
DTC was retained to provide civil engineering design services for the construction of a new dormitory project. The project was a design/build project with Stone Building Company and Herb S. Newman & Partners, P.C. This 425-bed apartment-style residence hall accommodates five students per suite (usually reserved for upper-class students). Each unit contains three furnished bedrooms, two bathrooms, a furnished living and dining area, and a full-sized kitchen. Each apartment also has a balcony.
