DTC was retained to provide baseline rail surveying services to Amtrak's Northeast Corridor from New Haven, Connecticut to Boston, Massachusetts. The surveys were to verify existing conditions within the limits of the right-of-way and provide horizontal and vertical alignments of existing tracks and structures. DTC's survey services supported engineering of the high-speed rail line project and include horizontal and vertical location of rails, bridges and structures, as well as utility and topographic field edits.

Projects

The fast-track design of the 200,000 s.f. facility, runways and landing pads was completed within nine months and received an award for design excellence from the Connecticut Engineers in Private Practice. As the prime consultant for the project, DTC provided all environmental, civil, site, infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural engineering, survey, soils, construction administration and all permit preparation. Site landing pads were designed and constructed in accordance with FAA requirements.
The City of Waterbury, CT and the Naugatuck Valley Development Corporation (NVDC) selected DTC to create a redevelopment plan for the revitalization of their downtown retail district. In particular a design was developed for Bank Street, an urban corridor consisting primarily of retail establishments, to help improve the image and viability of the district.
DTC, in conjunction with JCJ Architecture, is performing complete engineering services for the construction of a new Pre-K through eighth grade elementary school. Services include: environmental site investigation, analysis and remediation planning, site layout and vehicular circulation; landscaping and site lighting; extension and/or relocation of site utilities such as: water distribution, sanitary sewer system, storm sewer system and electric /communication/ cable television/ gas; permitting; structural design and HVAC and fire protection design.
